The Mage's Guild is a guild that functions as a school system, a hiring hall, and a lobbying firm all at once. The Guild consists of a small central leadership and five divisions. Each region layer below the central guild mirrors this organizing layout.

Central Leadership

Archmagister

The Archmagister is effectively the guild's head of state. They set the overall policy and is the public face of the guild to the various crowns and courts that recognize the Mage's Guild. In case of a tie, they have the deciding vote in the Grand Conclave. During an emergency, they have the authority to override any division head. The Archmagister is appointed by the Grand Conclave for life, though a formal recall process exists for reasons the Grand Conclave sees fit.

Grand Conclave

The Grand Conclave consists of the six division heads and the Archmagister. The conclave functions as the guild's parliament. Budgets, disputes, and proposals, amongst other things, are brought to the conclave to be settled.

Guild Secretary

Not officially a seat of power, the secretary manages the Archmagister's calendar, keeps the official minutes of each conclave session, and controls the flow of the bureaucratic process between the divisions. In practice, an adept secretary can become one of the most influential people since they decide what reaches the Archmagister's desk.

Guild Divisions
