=== Division of Wardens ===

Reports directly to the Archmagister rather than through the Conclave, since it may need to act _on_ a division head (investigating corruption, restraining a rogue mage regardless of rank).

* '''Lord Warden'''
* '''Guard-Captain'''
::Commands the ordinary, non-magical armed guards who patrol most guildhalls day to day. Answers to the Lord Warden on security matters and to the local Seneschal on everything else.

=== Chapterhouses ===

Everything above is the positions found at Prime Mage Guild in [[Velfad]]. Local chapterhouses will often have combined or vacant roles.

* '''Chapter Master'''
::Runs a regional Chapterhouse. This is the local equivalent of the Archmagister and is answerable to the Grand Conclave.

Each Chapterhouse has its own miniature version of the divisions above that is scaled to the size of the region. Small or frontier chapters may combine roles, such as a single "Chapter Officer" might handle both placement and standards in a town too small to need separate staff.

== Support & Household Staff ==

Not everyone who works for the guild is a mage. Every guildhall, academy, and chapterhouse runs on a second, entirely non-magical workforce.

* '''Senescha'''
::The senior non-mage staff position at a guildhall. They report to the local Guildhall Steward and run the building's actual day-to-day operations. This can include food and supply budgets, staff schedules, and all the logistics that make the place function.
* '''Head Cook'''
::Runs the kitchen and dining hall.
* '''Master Tailor'''
::Produces and maintains the specialty robes, oversees a small staff of under-tailors.
* '''Groundskeeper'''
::Manages physical maintenance of buildings and grounds.
* '''Stablemaster'''
* '''Quartermaster's Clerks'''
::Handles physical distribution of supplies.
* '''Messenger Corps'''
::Runners who carry routine correspondence.
* '''House Guard'''

The Mage's Guild is a guild that functions as a school system, a hiring hall, and a lobbying firm all at once. The Guild consists of a small central leadership and five divisions. Each region layer below the central guild mirrors this organizing layout.

== Central Leadership ==
=== Archmagister ===

The Archmagister is effectively the guild's head of state. They set the overall policy and is the public face of the guild to the various crowns and courts that recognize the Mage's Guild. In case of a tie, they have the deciding vote in the Grand Conclave. During an emergency, they have the authority to override any division head. The Archmagister is appointed by the Grand Conclave for life, though a formal recall process exists for reasons the Grand Conclave sees fit.

=== Grand Conclave ===

The Grand Conclave consists of the six division heads and the Archmagister. The conclave functions as the guild's parliament. Budgets, disputes, and proposals, amongst other things, are brought to the conclave to be settled.

=== Guild Secretary ===

Not officially a seat of power, the secretary manages the Archmagister's calendar, keeps the official minutes of each conclave session, and controls the flow of the bureaucratic process between the divisions. In practice, an adept secretary can become one of the most influential people since they decide what reaches the Archmagister's desk.

=== Archmagister ===

=== Grand Conclave ===

The Grand Conclave consists of the six division heads and the Archmagister. The conclave functions as the guild's parliament. Budgets, disputes, and proposals, amongst other things, are brought to the conclave to be settled.

=== Guild Secretary ===
